NextBoss, a new shape of hiring

1 November 2024
GOAL
Ship a 0 to 1 hiring product and launch it in Ahmedabad to test if a new way of connecting candidates and hiring managers actually works in the wild.
ROLE
Solo product designer. Owned the end-to-end experience across onboarding, feed, profiles, and chat, and shipped the launch version for Ahmedabad.
Two doors, one product. Find a job, or hire for one.
Two doors, one product. Find a job, or hire for one.

Hiring feels broken on both sides. Candidates blast resumes into portals and wait. Managers wade through noise and miss the right people sitting three cross-roads away.

NextBoss was a bet on a different shape. What if hiring managers and candidates could just find each other, and the product got out of the way? Location-aware, chat-first, no forms, no filters marathon. We built it, launched it in Ahmedabad, and watched what people actually did with it.

Location-first discovery. Sort, filter, find people three cross-roads away.

We shipped it in Ahmedabad, watched real recruiters and candidates find each other inside a week, and learned where the model breaks and where it sings.
